Dr Forster was educated in Brisbane and received his Medical Degree from the University of Queensland in 1991. He completed his orthopaedic training in 2000 and was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in that year.
Fellowship Training was undertaken in foot and ankle surgery in Bristol, United Kingdom and knee surgery in Southampton, United Kingdom. Further training was undertaken in Lecco, Italy.
Dr Forster is an Associate Clinical Lecturer with the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Queensland. He is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and a fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
Dr Forster has a public appointment at the Mater Hospital, South Brisbane.
Dr Forster is involved with the Queensland Reds Rugby Union Team, Brisbane Lions AFL, North Queensland Cowboys NRL, Gold Coast Titans NRL and the Gold Coast Suns AFL.
