A: All surgical procedures have risks. While your surgeon makes every attempt to minimise risks, complications can occur. Our surgeons will always outline possible side effects or complications of a surgical procedure. It is important that you have enough information about possible complications to fully weigh up the benefits and risks of surgery.
A: Recovery takes time and depends on the type of surgical procedure that you have had. Some patients will be able to go home on the same day that the surgery is performed while others will need to stay in hospital overnight. For patients that are having large or more complicated procedures a 7 to 10 day stay may be necessary.
